Over thirty years experience in energy finance with Duke Energy and affiliated companies, including Vice President, Business Development for Duke Energy Generation Services, where he was responsible for developing the firm’s strategy for entry into the commercial renewable power business, leading the acquisition and negotiation team for Duke’s first wind energy project, developing and advancing Duke’s strategy for entry into solar power generation and negotiating an asset swap with British Petroleum of a thermal project for a wind project. Earlier positions at Duke Energy included Vice President, Structured Finance and Development – Duke Energy Generation Services, where he led all financing and M&A activities for DEGS and had overall financial and accounting responsibility for all subsidiary companies comprising the Energy Services Group; and Vice President and CFO – Cinergy Solutions Business Unit where he acquired structured and managed all Cinergy/Duke synthetic fuel companies. Previously held numerous senior finance positions he was responsible for, among other things, placing over $8 Billion of debt, equity and lease financings in bank and capital markets.
